I expect that Cameron/ the club realise that the Premiership is a real possibility this year. Penrith is as vulnerable as they have been for 4 years. Brisbane have Reynolds and his injury-prone season to worry about. Nicho is doing a brilliant job at the Sharks, but they are beatable. Bellamy will think he can always beat Bennett’s team.

So I expect the club and Cam are prepared to roll the dice and see if he can recover in time to play a lead role at the back end of the year. If he goes for surgery however, the season would be over.

That of course is purely a guess by me !

Groin injuries are tricky. Surgery is rare and usually only done if there has been a complete tearing of the adductor away from the pelvic bone.

Like any injury, it completely depends on his individual circumstances and injury severity.

Chronic groin injuries are a b*tch though and often reoccur quite easily.

Nathan Ross (Newcastle) retired due to ongoing groin issues.

Reports are that Paps is looking to return in Round 15 or 16. Frank confirmed today in June. That’s quicker than most of us probably thought given the reaction Paps had after it happened.

Currently have our 1, 6 and 7 on the sideline. Jesus.

At least Hughes is looking promising for this week.

I just hope he's not being rushed back too soon.
His weapon is taking the line on, if he plays, will he shelve this option and stick with passing and kicking.
Position - Left right out or hung out to dry

I don’t think we would play Hughes unless he was 100% right to go. It is way too precarious with our halves situation. If he is right to go, so be it.

I understand the concern though. We have been burned in the past.
